An e-commerce company with several successful websites across a number of industries including healthcare, personal protective equipment and sports and fitness is seeking an IT Technical Support Officer to join their expanding team in Clapham, London. They are constantly launching new websites and moving into new sectors. Due to their growth and success, they are now looking for someone who can enhance all elements of its IT infrastructure, compliance and cyber security.

This is the ideal role for someone with a range of high level computer skills. We require an experienced and enthusiastic candidate who can help us achieve best IT practice.

Here are the key elements of the role:

We require a capable IT technical support officer who is able to help the business further improve its IT infrastructure and maintain high levels of cyber security and IT compliance.

You would be involved in the following activities:

                     Optimising PC performance across the business
                     Updating software across all business equipment
                     Assisting in the diagnosis of reported faults and taking steps to resolve issues
                     Firewall setup and maintenance
                     Anti-virus installation and maintenance
                     Threat detection system maintenance activities including port management
                     Detected threat resolution
                     IT policy enhancement and maintenance
                     PCI compliance maintenance and instruction
                     Network setup, maintenance and optimisation activities
                     Data archiving, management and deletion in line with GDPR policies
                     Cyber security tests, phishing simulation activities and training for colleagues including sharing cyber security best practice
                     Penetration testing
                     Data backup schedule maintenance and actions

We are looking for the following attributes in our search for the right candidate:

                     Degree qualified in IT, engineering or numerical discipline
                     Previous relevant experience
                     Cyber security experience
                     Strong problem solving skills
                     Good communication skills
                     Excellent IT skills

The working hours of this IT Technical Support Officer role are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (37.5 paid working hours per week). In return you will receive a salary of between £25,000 and £30,000 per annum depending upon your ability and previous relevant experience.
