Microsoft Engineer

Location - Dorset

Rate - £300 - £325

Duration - 3 Months Initially

IR35 - Outside

A public-sector client of ours is looking for a 3rd Line Microsoft Support Engineer for Initially 3 months and ideally someone who can start ASAP.

Brief description of duties

1.Support and maintain our clients Microsoft Windows Server production Infrastructure to required levels of availability, capacity and security. Responsible for proactive management of production systems and ensuring potential issues do not become service affecting.

2.Install, configure and maintain Microsoft Server, network and / or business application services in line with expected Service Levels and standards and approved project requirements.

3.To act as 3rd Line support for IT systems and services and liaise with 3rd party vendors where required to resolve issues that cannot be resolved internally.

4.Implement service specific service improvement plans and drive forward these improvements in a timely manner.

5.To contribute to the implementation of new Developments of our clients Microsoft Windows Server based production infrastructure.

*Identity & Access Control: Active Directory and ADFS

*Configuration management: Group Policy

*Group Collaboration: Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365 Teams

*Identity Management: Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)

*Email: Microsoft Exchange

*Microsoft cloud technologies: Office 365, Azure

*Patching: Ivanti Shavlik

*Password Vault and vendor remote access: CyberArk

*Load Balancer: F5
