Senior Business Analyst

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 3 month contract based in Edinburgh on a rate of c.£425-475/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Potentially conducting a sample review of standards and data models currently used across the organisation in Scotland ('as is').

* Scoping of international (including European and UK) standards and data models ('what there is').

* In conjunction with delivery partners, consideration of which standards should be kept/dropped/adopted across Scotland ('what we should have').

* Considering any regulatory impact - for example, on how services are inspected and how the standards are ratified and accredited.

* Defining continuous ways of working with standards.

* Defining the approach to assuring adherence to standards.

* All of the above should include consideration of the approaches taken, and decisions made, elsewhere in the UK and Ireland.

Requirements:

* Experienced Business Analyst.

* Demonstrable applied experience of analysis techniques and practices including business case creation, options appraisal, current / future state analysis, documenting technical and non-technical requirements.

* Knowledge of business analysis application in a digital/ICT project environment, with reports and recommendations prepared for a non-digital audience.

* Experience stakeholder engagement at all levels.

* Experience of running and facilitating workshops.

* Exposure to project methodologies such as Prince 2, Agile.

* Demonstrable and practical experience in a project environment.

* Excellent presentation and communication skills.

* Public sector experience is advantageous.
