Opportunity to join a world-leading, exciting and innovative client in an Agile Automated Software Tester role.
You will be working at their impressive, custom-built Technology Centre of Excellence in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This role will work closely alongside a highly skilled Development team who develop complex software applications in C#.
You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, and contribute to a team empowered to innovate and continually improve. The client believes strongly in the value of personal development, and provide support and regular time is set aside for staff to pursue this.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a real passion for automated software testing as part of agile software development. In this role, you will be working collaboratively with developers and testers to help ensure delivery of high quality products through the application of effective testing and automation techniques.
ResponsibilitiesTesting software deliverables through a combination of both manual and automated testing techniques.Developing and maintaining the test automation code base.Using Python and Selenium to update existing tests in the automation test suite.Add new tests and expand the automation test suite.Creating and writing scenarios for security testing, performance testing and non-functional testing.Collaborating closely with other agile team members, including Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure the delivery of valuable working software increments.Contributing to continuous improvement activities in test approach and implementation areas, particularly in areas of test automation and automation frameworks.Playing an active role in our agile software development approach, attending team ceremonies, contributing inputs and opinion to planning activities, reviews and retrospectives.Taking part in our global cross-Informatics testing and automation communityDefining a plan for your personal development in your own area of specialism, and pursuing this with the support of your manager to undertake the training and learning to progress.Qualifications:
What will make you a successful Test Automation Engineer:Capable of identifying and implementing testing for commercial software product development in a TDD/BDD environment.Strong capability with web APIs and web applications.Knowledge of Python, C#, Java or Javascript language advantageous.Use of Selenium to build test automation via code.Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).Knowledge of agile testing concepts and practices ideally combined with their implementation.Capability working collaboratively with others to achieve a shared goal.
