DevOps Engineer - 12 months - Cambridge - 3 days per week only!

Jefferson Frank are currently looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to be based in Cambridge for 12 months. It will involve working just 3 days per week, on-site just in the north part of the city. Perhaps suiting someone looking for some flexibility or just a bit more time at home each week!

Crucially, you must be experience using AWS technology, such as EC2 and Lamba - furthermore, our client are specifically using Puppet as a configuration management tool, therefore, experience with this is vital.

Roles and responsibilities:

* Provide infrastructure expertise

* Carry out infrastructure maintenance tasks

* Environment capacity planning

* Work hands-on with various DevOps tools and within an AWS environment

* Look to improve efficiency through automation

* Assist with managing web application deployments

You will have 3+ years of commercial experience with managing and maintaining Windows Server environments. You will also have experience of the following:

* Good technical understanding of Windows Server 2003->2012

* Experienced in running a web infrastructure (IIS / Apache / nginx)

* Linux OS server experience

* Experienced in one or more of the following languages: PowerShell / Bash / Perl / Java / Ruby

* Experience with virtualisation (VMware / OpenStack / KVM)

* Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet

* Experience with tools: Vagrant, Packer

* Demonstrate a clear understanding of networks and their underlying protocols.

* Experience with AWS EC2 / RDS / Lambda
