Field Service Engineer - X-Ray Imaging 

Home/Field Based (with travel throughout the UK and overseas)

With an international customer base, our client is an innovative manufacturer of security scanners and a leader in mailroom security. They are now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

You’ll receive ongoing support, training and guidance from senior management, as well as internal and external training to enhance your technical knowledge and ensure your success within the business.  

The Role 

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll install, service, repair and maintain our client’s range of highly advanced X-ray imaging units at sites throughout the UK and overseas. 

In this autonomous role, you will focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring any issues are quickly resolved. Specifically, you will: 

- Provide on-site technical product support and installation 

- Troubleshoot and maintain X-ray units 

- Identify and repair product failures, ordering replacement parts as required 

- Provide product training to customers 

- Travel overseas for approximately five - ten days per month 

About You 

To be considered as a Field Service Engineer, you’ll need: 

- At least three years’ experience in a customer services or field role 

- Field service experience gained within an X-ray imaging or equivalent environment (our client is also eager to hear from those with a military background) 

- Excellent customer service skills 

- At a minimum, an ONC level qualification (or above) in electronics or a similar technical discipline 

Other companies may call this role Field Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Field Engineer, Service & Repair Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, X-Ray Field Service Engineer or X-Ray Engineer. 

Those who have worked in X-Ray Maintenance, X-Ray Installation, Military, Veterinary or Medical environments are also encouraged to apply. 

This is a full time role, usually working Monday - Thursday, 8:30 - 17:00 and Friday, 8:30 - 14:00. Late evening and weekend work may occasionally be required to meet company needs, so flexibility is key.
