C# Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer £35,000 to £40,000 p.a. depending on experience + generous pension provision

Excellent opportunity for C# Developer to join an exciting, dynamic and expanding business in Sheffield

THE ROLE

As C# .NET Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer you will be a key member of the Development Team, involved in all stages of the software lifecycle and contributing to the specification, design, implementation, testing and support of a wide range of technical projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

* developing small and large scale C# applications ( Winforms or WPF )

* designing and implementing GUIs

* writing underlying class objects / libraries for data acquisition, interfaces to external systems & data manipulation

* maintaining and supporting the current code base

THE PERSON

As C# .NET Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer you will have strong analytical and problem solving abilities and be able to work using your own initiative within the team, sharing responsibility for organising, managing and delivering to deadlines. A flexible approach to working and being comfortable with multitasking is expected. Qualified in a scientific, mathematical or engineering discipline, with experience of C / C++, MFC, Linux and mobile platform development, you will also have:

* strong commercial programming background

* experience developing desktop applications using either WPF, WinForms or both

* experience of using the .NET Framework

* familiarity with the Visual Studio programming environment

* enthusiasm to expand skills & capabilities
