Associate Combat Systems Engineer - Bristol - £35,000 - £45,000 benefits

Location: Bristol

A leading defence and security consultancy are looking to bring in an experienced Associate combat systems engineer, to join their prestigious Systems Engineering Centre of Excellence and provide technical leadership on a number of high profile and complex mission critical surface ship trial programmes.

Highly regarded in their market place and known for having the most intelligent workforce across the UK they are looking for experienced engineers to provide combat systems expertise on multiple large scale maritime systems projects.

Role:

* The role entails equipment transferred from one type of ship to another

* The role requires basic presentational and document work to support the professional systems engineers.

* Working as part of a team delivering combat system output on Systems Engineering projects in support of internal and external customers as guided by more senior systems engineers

Experience and skills required:

Must have:

* 2- 4 years of systems engineering experience preferred

* Experience on Type 23

* Understanding of engineering process within the Navy

* Background in weapons engineering

* Understanding of taking equipment of ships and placing it onto other ships

* Technical authorship and communication

* Good general knowledge of combat systems - ability to go on board of ship and discuss fittings and connections

* Observe the material state of the ship and physical composition and structure of combat systems and their constituent equipment
