A major national provider of electricity, gas and water services, data collection/processing services are seeking a Data Analyst to join its expanding team in Newcastle.Underpinned by absolute dedication to health and safety, the company’s strategy is to become a successful supplier of smart metering and associated services. Their capability in this market is backed up by excellent credentials, having won major national contracts for a range of customers across a variety of sectors.
You will gather an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Data collection side of the business, applying your analytical skills to provide insight into the operation of the business. Focussing on continuous improvement, short- and long-term planning, you will be responsible for analysis of numerous large data sets and improving processes leading to increased efficiency in both office and field delivery.
As an Analyst, your daily duties will include:
Carrying out analysis of large quantities of data to inform management decisions.
Reviewing outputs, performing analysis and presenting findings.
Working with relevant stakeholders to interpret and document findings and recommendations.
To be a successful Analyst, you will have the following skills and experiences:
To have strong numeracy and analytical skills.
A strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
The ability to work unaccompanied whilst supporting a team culture.
An understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives.
Advanced Excel skills and preferably some SQL knowledge.
