Chief Engineer / Design Authority - Nuclear Safety

Part of the Head of Engineering's core team, you will be a key player in the Strategic Infrastructure Design Authority. The Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer will provide technical assurance on all projects.

Key duties:

*Provide technical governance for the design and safety outputs on all major infrastructure projects.

*Lead in the development of design and nuclear safety processes and standards and assure compliance in their application.

*Provide independent technical support to the Head of Engineering and support the interface with the Office for Nuclear Regulation.

Skills and qualifications:

*Qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline

*Chartered Engineer or CEng Fellow

*Experienced in the design and substantiation of complex Nuclear infrastructure projects

*Able to provide senior-level engineering leadership

*Design of nuclear steam raising plant and substantiation of nuclear safety case Class 1 engineering

*Working within strict regulatory environments (safety, quality and security)
