Job Title: Global SOC Duty Manager

New and exciting opportunity for a Global SOC Duty Manager. Our client is a globally recognised company looking for a SOC Manager to join their organisation based in the Midlands.

The Ideal candidate will provide day to day management of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations, resources and activities, leading security assessment and incident response protocols and to provide technical expertise to SOC personnel, supporting and coaching on technical issues and verifying that they follow SOC policies and processes.

Salary up to £70,000 per annum plus attractive benefits including car, bonus, private health care, life insurance and a 6% matched pension

Required Skills and Experience would include

* Significant experience of working within a Security Operations Centre, SOC Engineering experience and ideally from a related background such as Senior Level SOC Analyst, SOC Shift Manager or SOC Management.

* Proficient in ITIL/SIAM Incident Management & Response, with an understanding of the implementation of these processes within a Security context.

* Demonstrable record of operating and improving Security tools, such as security device Management and SIEM (especially ArcSight)

* Expertise in threat management, with detailed knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques threat vectors risk management incident management.

* Understanding of up to date security threats and common exploits. Working knowledge of attack patterns and campaigns, and hacker tools.

* Knowledge and experience working with PCI, ISO 27000 standards, ITIL, UK Cyber Essentials, Gov. DoD standards, NIST.

* CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification required is highly advantageous.

* Expertise in developing Security processes and procedures, working with team members and across multiple teams to ensure these are accurate, optimised and will deliver service to service level targets. Highly desirable to have experience in SOC design and operations best practice and related standards.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

* Significant IT technical background covering IP Networking, Windows, Linux, Unix.

* Experience of managing a team of 5 or more expert personnel, with a desire to enhance knowledge and skills of team members and self.
