Unix Engineer, Bristol/Bridgend, £60,000

Do you consider yourself the type of person who always uses new technologies and is ready for the next challenge?

A leading name in service delivery is actively seeking an experienced Unix Engineer to join a 10 man team to provide system administration and support across UNIX based application type products on multiple flavours of hardware and O/S.

You can expect work to be varied, consisting of support, project work, assisting with Change and Transition activities, driving continual service improvement and automation.

Given the nature of the intended duties and responsibilities it would be great if you had experience akin to;

* Excellent technical knowledge of UNIX and in particular Linux (Redhat), Solaris.

* Excellent communication skills and team working skills are essential

* High level of interpersonal/client facing skills.

The role will offer the platform to work within a developed vetting environment and does require that any applicants who apply already hold SC clearance.

The role can be based out of either Bristol or Bridgend but will supply a healthy amount of remote working potential despite the neccessary clearance.

The salary on offer is anywhere between £50,000 and £60,000. depending on relevant technical skills and years experience. In addition to that there is also a generous benefits package.
