Accounts Assistant

Central London

To support the Cash Management Function and Accounts Payable function in one of the worlds largest reinsurance companies. This is a newly created role for Post-Brexit and we are looking to employ a proactive individual who is keen to learn and progress.

Key responsibilities:

* Expense processing and administration with efficiency, accuracy and adhering to company policies.

* Invoice processing and administration with efficiency, accuracy and adhering to company policies

* Process payments with efficiency, accuracy and adhering to company policies

* Monitor bank accounts and liquidity levels

* Daily and weekly liquidity forecasting

* Effective communication between group companies and investment managers.

* Control and reconcile balance sheet accounts, incl. vendors and bank

* Reconcile vendor statements

* Provide excellent customer service to the Companys clients.

Other Responsibilities:

* Assist with the year-end audit, ensuring auditors are provided with sufficient information as requested and answering questions as they arise.

* Assist with administrative tasks of the team.

* Recharging and issuing customer invoices per agreements

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential

* Microsoft excel and word: intermediate level

* Customer service

* Proven use of online banking tools.

* Experience in Cash Management & Accounts Payable for a similar sized & complex organisation.

* Experience of applying the correct VAT treatment on transactions

* Working knowledge and experience of SAP (in particular GT and SAP BW).

* Experience of working within a quality focused team

* Proven use of online banking tools.

* Demonstrable good performance in a similar sized organisation.

Desirable:

* Previous roles in a Shared Service function

* Commenced further qualification

* Projects experience

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

* At least full member of AAT or other equivalent finance recognised qualification

* Able to work effectively as a member of the team as well as independently
