Mechanical Design Engineer

£30,000 - £35,000 + Pension + 33 Days Holiday + Excellent Company Benefits

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer ideally from a background in Rail looking to join an industry leading and innovative company who supply a number of international blue chip clients?

On offer is an autonomous and lead role where you will lead design projects for an already highly skilled team and will become an expert in the industry.

Working with a massive range of blue-chip clients, the company specialise in rail technology and are well known for their high standards of service and product. This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to lead a highly skilled team.

This would suit someone from a background in the Rail industry with 3D CAD experience looking for a challenging but rewarding role.

The Role:

- Lead design and development projects of trackside and on-board application systems

- Varied role where you will carry out site visits, communicate regularly with customers as well as leading designs, validation and installation

- Mostly based in based in Sheffield but with 20% travel to customers (Including opportunities to travel across Europe)

The Person:

- Design and development experience ideally from a Rail background but other backgrounds may be considered.

- You will ideally have experience in 3D design using SolidWorks - Other CAD packages considered

- Any understanding of wheel/rail interaction and friction management is highly desirable

- Looking to play an integral role within a UK leading company
