Team Description: As the Distribution function continues to grow and develop globally, so the requirement to service this division with timely, accurate and insightful Management Information (MI) becomes more critical. Coupled with this there is a growing demand to use data and analytics in order to make better business decisions. The MI & Analytics team is a small business facing team embedded within the Distribution function, located primarily in London, serving a diverse set of consumers at all levels, right across Distribution globally. The team has the responsibility for running a MIS platform as well as producing a variety of printable monthly reports for senior management. We are now looking to develop a series of analytical, data driven, tools aimed at improving the efficiency of our sales force.   Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Distribution MI & Analytics, the position is a business facing role embedded within the Distribution function. The role holder will:            Assist the Management Information and Reporting Manager in the production and collation of Distribution Management Information            Have a key involvement in building out the reporting, analytics and insights solutions and capabilities (working with key partners and liaising with dependent projects were necessary)            Responsible for rolling out MI and reporting solutions to key stakeholders and consumers            Develop and refine MI and Analytics services and solutions on an ongoing basis            Assist Distribution Senior Management in the production of board papers from an analytical and data perspective   Key Responsibilities:   Global MI and reporting   Under guidance from the Management Information and Reporting Manager, build and deploy up to date and relevant practices and techniques to support Distribution’s MI and reporting needs, spanning:             Requirements capture and analysis            Data analysis            Data and report schema design            Report development (using group tools and best practice, currently Tableau and Alteryx)            Report testing and rollout            User / consumer deployment, training and upskilling            Ensure effective and collaborative liaison with key stakeholders (for example, consumers of MI and reporting at all levels of Distribution globally, Distribution IT, numerous providers and sources of required data and MI, related teams across the firm)   Data Insights & Analytics            Set up and run pilot, and proof of concept analytics projects within Distribution, and where successful roll projects out globally            Provide data insights: Identify, prepare, join, and blend various internal and external data sets, and interrogate and analyse the results in order to gain insights currently unavailable to management            Design and create prototype self service analytical tools and dashboards, ad-hoc analysis reports, and presentations            Deliver insights to a broad range of internal customers, primarily members of the DMT and Country Heads in user-friendly and easy to understand manner            Work with Schroders Global Technology team to develop and enhance the technical tools and techniques required to deliver proposed solutions   Competencies & Experience:   Essential            Experienced Tableau user, able to construct complex reports from day 1            Experience in the development and deployment of MI and reporting solutions            Excellent visualisation and presentation skills            Good interpersonal and communication skills - capable of interacting confidently at all levels of the Distribution organisation            Highly numerate with a good attention to detail            Proven logical thinker and creative problem solver            Proven track record of delivering under pressure            Data analytics experience and experience working with large data sets   Useful            Knowledge of the Asset Management sector / Investment practices            Working knowledge of other applicable technology solutions and techniques - able to perform as a ‘power user’ of relevant toolsets (e.g. Alteryx)            Strong MS Excel and Powerpoint skills   .
