IT Field Support Engineer / 1st & 2nd Line Technician / Technical Analyst that has great troubleshooting and client facing skills with experience installing hardware and software, carrying out upgrades and rollouts is required by a well-established Company.
SALARY: up to £26,500 per annum (includes a £4,500 per annum car allowance) + Excellent Benefits (see below for more details)
LOCATION: As this is a field based role you will spend 80% of your time supporting clients located in London, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas (around 1 hour from Milton Keynes) with around 20% of your time based out of the Milton Keynes office.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Field Support Engineer / 1st & 2nd Line Technician / Technical Analyst that has great troubleshooting and client facing skills with experience installing hardware and software, carrying out upgrades and rollouts.
Working as the IT Field Support Engineer / 1st & 2nd Line Technician / Technical Analyst you will attend client sites and perform break-fix maintenance for all reported issues escalated to you.
As the IT Field Support Engineer / 1st & 2nd Line Technician / Technical Analyst you will also respond to reactive issues and complete hardware and software installations to meet the client’s requirements.

DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the IT Field Support Engineer / 1st & 2nd Line Technician / Technical Analyst include the smooth running of their clients’ systems and network infrastructures ensuring the clients’ get maximum benefits from them. Activities may include:
Hardware and software installations
Manage and work to internal and customer SLA’s, escalating any concerns
Create and maintain customer specific infrastructure documentation
End-to-end ownership of problem resolution
Managing client expectations through clear communications
Take responsibility for own continual professional development, ensuring up to date industry and technical knowledge

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous commercial experience within a IT Technical role supporting SME’s
Good client facing skills
Creative, analytical problem solver with good troubleshooting skills
PC / Server Hardware experience (upgrading both hardware and firmware, Raid configurations, iLO)
Excellent time-management and organisational skills
Familiar with working to SLA’s
Experience working part of a wider service delivery function
