Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Project Officer / Manager for 6 month period based in Edinburgh on a rate of £250-300/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

The Project Officer/Manager will implement an online customer services platform and support the roll-out of digital services across the Council.

East Lothian Council is in the process of replacing its current CRM (customer relationship management) system with a new solution that will be capable of delivering customer self-service over digital channels and integrating with back office systems.

* Leading an implementation team and operational staff to implement the new platform to a 'day 1' position by 31 March 2018 - and producing the system development plan by 17 May 2018, including planning, assigning and directing the work of the project team

*Working with the Project Board and Finance to ensure the project stays within budget

*Applying Agile methodologies to support services to switch platforms and/or offer an additional channel

*Developing an agreed priority list of transactional processes to go live on the new platform and delivering essential / core transactional processes , as agreed by the Project Board

*Follow the Council's project governance framework including managing risks, issues and stakeholders

Desirable:

* Trained in agile methodology

*Ability in demonstrating a range of consultancy skills, with particular emphasis on collaborative working

*Ability to build and preserve effective relationships with partners / stakeholders

*Ability to facilitate workshops for both an internal and external audience

*Applied knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques
