3rd Line Network Engineer

One of our UK nationwide clients is seeking a 3rd Line Network Engineer to join their growing team in Leeds. You will be responsible for providing technical response and fixes to incidents, changes, service requests, and support to small scale projects. You will perform technical diagnostics and administration across the business portfolio of products, delivering vendor independent Network Solutions, to a Cisco Gold Partner Standard.

3rd Line Network Engineer duties will include, but not limited to:

*Providing 3rd Line Support for customer technical services for the businesses Enterprise Networking client base

*Monitor incident, changes and appropriate service requests within the agreed service hours to the agreed service levels

*Work on small scale projects and be a technical owner for new BIS customers

*Undertake proactive maintenance to ensure the maximisation of availability, including patching, configuration, backup and capacity management

*Participating in Change Management processes, updating and creating change requests where appropriate

*Offering a technical leadership, defining and documenting best practices to other support teams

*Corresponding with customers to a high technical level, and providing an immediate resolution where possible

*Fault finding and F5 Configuration

*Ensuring tickets are managed and progressed correctly within the agreed SLA's

As the 3rd Line Network Engineer you will be required to possess:

*Strong experience providing network support at a 3rd line level

*Ability to undertake operational duties on complex Enterprise Networks

*Proven experience with hands on implementation and troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor networking solutions experience

*Previous experience of WIFI solutions (Aruba Clearpass and Airwave)

*Experience with Nexus (series 5 and 7)

*Experience with Load balancing technologies (F5, ACE)

*Security clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain SC Clearance

*Hold CCNP/JNCIP/CCSE

*Knowledge of Network analytical tools such as Wireshark

*Previous experience liaising with vendors at TAC level, with an awareness of the processes and standards of diagnostics this requires

*Experience with the following technologies would be advantageous: Cisco, Extreme, Juniper, HP, Cisco/Juniper/Checkpoint security

*Experience with WIFI technologies would be beneficial: Cisco WLC, Meraki, ISE, Prime, Uquibiti
