1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum Plus Benefits

We’re now looking for a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team and support our infrastructure from our Westminster headquarters.
Providing both remote and on-site support, you’ll cover three sites. Your working hours will be split into early and late shifts to cover our office hours of 8:00 - 17:30.
As a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be tasked with:
- Acting as the first point of contact for technical queries
- Supporting desktop and mobile infrastructure
- Providing technical expertise to colleagues for the Windows environment
- Logging incidents using the FreshService helpdesk system
- Troubleshooting, supporting and maintaining Windows desktop platforms
- Identifying opportunities to enhance or improve technology services
- Monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure environment
- Investigating operational problems
- Deploying new user equipment and performing customer handovers
To be considered as a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will need experience of the following:
- Remote access tools
- Windows 7 to 10
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Any anti-virus software
- MS Office 2013 onwards
- iOS mobile devices
- Window Server 2003 to 2016
Experience of automated build technologies would be highly beneficial to your application, as we plan to use these in the future. Experience of the Mitel phone system would also be an advantage, as would previous experience of working in a smaller organisation.
Other organisations may call this role Desktop Support Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst, 1st Line Support Engineer, 2nd Line Support Engineer, Helpdesk Support Analyst, IT Support Engineer, Helpdesk Engineer, or Network Support Engineer.
