Description:
Performs complex testing tasks to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Tests, debugs, documents, validates and installs basic hardware and software testing tasks in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards. Reviews/Generates complex test plans, test case data, procedures and testing scripts based upon functional specifications to meet business needs. Utilizes software testing tools and assists in developing test software for use in automated test activities.
Develops project plans, maintains metrics and interfaces with various engineering, operations groups and vendors to achieve desired improvement goals. Documents and shares all test results; Responds to developers' questions about the results to communicate status and ensure understanding. Provides work training and mentoring to less experienced personnel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership skills
Mandatory Prerequisites:
-UK National or Nationalised
-Minimum of SC Security Clearance
-Minimum of 3 years Testing experience over a wide variety of technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Operating Systems, SQL, VMWare, Citrix, Active Directory and Exchange
-Certified in one or more of the following:
o Certified Security Testing Associate
o Cisco Certified Network Associate
o Microsoft Certification (MCSE/ MCITP)
-Working Knowledge of Unix (HP & Linux)
Desirable Prerequisites:
-ISEB / ISTQB Certified
-Experience of using HP ALM/QC
-Experience of HP ALM/QC Administration
-Certified Security Test Professional
-Knowledge of Powershell or VBScript
-An understanding of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, JSP, ASP, .Net, etc.
-Prior experience of working in a Defence Environment
Role Specification:
-Complies with the Test Policy and departmental procedures.
-Derives Requirements from Design documentation
-Design Integration and Security Test Cases that verify the requirements of the solution
-Ability to execute both specialised and generic Test Cases
-Peer reviews Test Cases in line with department standards and procedures.
-Reports on testing activities to Test Projects Team Lead
-Ensures compliance to DXC methods, processes and tools.
-Creates analyses and communicates project deliverables.
-Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role
