Our Manchester based global IT services client are looking for a high-level IT Server Specialist/Consultant to join their tech-savvy team at their headquarters. Our client are dedicated to delivering high quality IT Solutions at an affordable cost. They offer services in solutions and consultancy within, Application Performance Management and Application Development Services. As well as, Mobile Device Management, Network, Infrastructure and Cloud based service solutions.

The ideal candidate will excel themselves in Microsoft technologies and be proficient in the role of 2nd/3rd level support.

The duties of the IT Consultant include:

* Reporting directly to Directors

* Providing 2nd/3rd Level support

* Working on design and implementation projects

* Working at Customer sites

* Source of technical knowledge for the company

* Working to improve Service Support

* Implementation of Service tools to enhance existing Service Levels

* Lead Consultant of key Project work

It is essential that the IT consultant has a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in networking, Infrastructure and Server implementation projects (2008/2012/2016).

Other requirements of the IT Consultant include:

* Enterprise Active Directory Installations and troubleshooting

* Networking (switches and routers)

* Enterprise VPN Implementations (Cisco/Juniper if possible)

* PowerShell Scripting

* Virtualisation of Data Centres

* Clustering

* Workplace implementations

* Global Policy Implementations

* Windows 7/10 Expertise down to registry/system understanding

* MCSE/MCSA Certified

* Hyper V / VMware

* Cloud technologies (Azure)

* Security and Firewalls
