Position: Bookkeeper / Administrator
Essex
Permanent full-time position
Salary: £20,000-£23,000 per annum
We are a printing company based in Southend-on-Sea in Essex. We have added online communication services to our portfolio which has helped to support the businesss recent growth. We are a team of thirty with a turnover of around £2m.
This important position of Bookkeeper/Administrator will report directly to the Managing Director. You will need to be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. Your primary responsibilities will be helping to manage the cash-flow, accurately entering and maintaining sales and purchase ledgers and various other financial support administration a company such as ours requires. Proven experience and knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll is essential
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Excellent communication skills dealing with customers, management and co-workers
Recording financial transactions in Sage 50 including journal transactions and production of monthly management accounts.
Assisting and answering to company accountants and auditors when required
Ensuring agreement of supplier accounts and processing payments
Preparing and sending sales invoices to clients and credit control
Reconciliation of control accounts and bank statements.
Process monthly payroll, NI and pensions payments
Perform general office clerical duties including filing, answering the telephone, greeting clients etc.

Mathematical, problem solving and time management skills
The ability to develop alternative solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required
Proven experience of Sage Line 50 and Sage payroll
Qualifications
Good standard of education and proven experience in a similar role.
