Senior DevOps Engineer, Manchester, (Up to £75,000 + Benefits)We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for an innovative, cutting edge, digital platform technology company.
You will have the opportunity to be part of next generation software platforms as well as helping the Manager to lead the improvements and optimisation of applications across the company and wider group. You will joining a team of 5 engineers, soon to expand up to 12 engineers.
The is a very technical hands-on role so you need to have the following skills to be successful for the role:
Extensive DevOps backgroundScripting - Python, Ruby, Bash, Perl, GoInfrastructure as code - Puppet, Chef, Saltstack, Ansible, TerraformLinux OS - RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian, Amazon Linux AMIContainerisation - Docker, KubernetesCloud - preferably AWSThe role involves:
Working closely with stakeholders and product developers ensuring new features are properly supported and maintained.Develop software for automating, monitoring and maintaining deployed infrastructure and services.Prioritise work loadResolve internal and external technical issuesAssist in designing, building and maintaining the cloud platform to support their growth plans and helping to automating as much as you canParticipating in scrum processesHelp teams create and maintain documentationYou may be called upon to help with training/mentoring/coaching junior team members
Salary - Up to £75,000 plus a long term incentive bonus scheme which runs over 4 years adding 10-15% of your salary to it.
