Shift Manager

Abercarn, Newport, South Wales

£40,000 to £42,000 + Bonus + Overtime + Training + Progression + Pension + 33 Days Holiday

Excellent opportunity for an experienced manager from a manufacturing or engineering background to join an industry leading company that prides itself on being ahead of the market and technically advancing its staff through training and progression opportunities.

This company are a world leader in what they do, operating in over 30 countries with a headcount of over 40'000. Through impressive continued growth they are now looking to add another Shift Manager to their team.

In this role you will be responsible for the management, leadership, training, quality adherence to the health and safety and hygiene statement and the welfare of the employees on their shift. At any time you will be responsible for up to 25 people. This will be on a double days based shift pattern 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly.

The ideal candidate will have a background in management or supervisor roles in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

The Role:

* Double days based shift pattern

* Work closely with 2 other managers while managing up to 25 staff at any one time

* Run the shift and a range of multi-skilled staff

* Continuous Improvements and Project based work

The Person:

* Experience in a management role within a manufacturing environment

* Candidates from a maintenance engineering background who have progressed notoriously do well in this role

* Experience with Process & Project Management

* Experience managing budgets
