FINANCE MANAGER - LONDON - £300/£350 - 3- 4 Months

The work location is in LONDON and is a 3 - 4 months contract.

Pay rate is between £300 - £350 per day.

The role is working for a well established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

* Responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting of trading performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

* Responsible for providing insightful commentary that tells the story of channel performance and that looks not only at prior week/month performance but also looks ahead to key risks and opportunities

* Provide insight on the key profit drivers for the channel and key areas for focus

* Produce Food Category P&L's with insightful commentary that tell the story of performance and highlight the key profit levers

* Robust reporting of key performance metrics ensuring these are accurate and fully reconciled to financial data

* Competitor benchmarking against other online retailers to provide insightful analysis that can be shared with the Senior Leadership team

* Proactive stakeholder management to join the dots between each area of the channel to enable us to tell a holistic view of online performance that includes operational KPIs as well as Financial KPIs

* Key contact for Investor Relations queries at quarter end to provide key numbers and to help provide colour behind the numbers

* Proactive in looking for opportunities to improve processes to make them efficient as possible

Technical Skills

* Qualified accountant

* Previous experience in commercial finance

* Planning and Forecasting

* Business / Financial Analysis

* Natural curiosity of Retail/Online and the wider Retail market / competitive environment

Systems Skills

* Advanced Excel

* Other systems (e.g. SAP) is a benefit, but not essential

Key measures / KPIs:

* Timely delivery of accurate financial information for Budget, Forecast, 3YP and month end processes

* Accurate and timely reporting to Group finance supported by strong controls in the area

* Strong and constructive business partnering relationships

* Robust analysis that drives actionable insight

* Ability to connect and communicate effecmtively across the finance group to join the dots in a collaborative manner
