Junior Project Manager

My Client are looking for a Junior Project Manager (Multimedia fixed term contract for 15 months) to work within their IT department. The main purpose of the role will be to manage large complex projects and to meet defined objectives and follow the correct procedures and standards.

This will also involve:

* The post holder will be required to gain a thorough understanding of current approaches, capabilities, products, supply chain and staff as well as knowledge of the current market and competitor products.

* Working with colleagues to develop and implement solutions to support localisation of existing learning support platforms to include localisation of styles and languages appropriate to the market, client and re-seller.

* Develop a bespoke web interface for custom course creation in learning management systems

* Create focus groups and user consultation groups that will capture user feedback and identify avenues for improvement as well as test and provide feedback through the life of the project on new products developed.

* During the project the post holder will be required to create and update a knowledge bank of information for use within the company and to regularly brief senior management and update a working group of company staff on project progress and delivery.

* Develop and embed a monitoring and tracking process to support content generation via a system framework to include the processes, tools and training that will facilitate delivery and future solubility of the business

* Provide recommendations and plan for long term support and future development to include expansion of the system functionality and volume production

* Resolve and escalate issues quickly

* Deal with project reviews

* Any other duties commensurate with this post.

The ideal Junior Project Manager will have:

* A degree in a relevant sector

* A professional qualification

* 1-2 years experience working as a Project Manager, ideally in Multimedia and Software integration

* Knowledge of IT technologies with up to date practises

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to manage and monitor various projects at once

You must be able to work well as part of a team as well as working independently. You should also be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities accordingly.
