Excellent opportunity for a controls engineer to join a company that will offer you an autonomous role where you will play a big part in developing and improving this company automation systems and processes.

In this role you will be based in the production engineering department. You will be responsible for the maintenance and development of all factory control systems. You will also ensure that the company are utilising the latest best practice and are constantly innovating the processes to improve quality productivity and reduce production costs.

The ideal candidate will be HNC qualified, have experience in a controls engineering role or where your role as be focused on PLC programming.

This is a great role for a controls engineer to join a company that will offer you a varied and challenging role where you can play a key part in this companies growth and development.

The role:

*The job holder will be required to support all the electronic, PLC and software systems within the manufacturing department.

*These will include systems such as electronic standard operating procedures, automated data farming, visual inspection systems and future production machining and assembly automation.

*Responsible for maintenance and support of all Mitsubishi PLC control units.

*Responsible for programming of all new PLCs.

*Heavily involved in productivity-related projects, such as electronic OEE collection, control charts and front end visual control software.

*As the primary Controls Engineer you will be expected to participate in many improvement project teams

*Shall specify, install and commission capital equipment in line with the business requirements.

The person:

*Minimum HNC qualified.

*PLC programming, ladder logic and electronic integration of systems experience.

*Experience in us of signal processing or data acquisition software tools.

*Integrating systems over networks.
