The company are a global leader within the medical device industry, and specialise in the manufacture of devices for diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorder.

The company are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic systems engineer to join their innovative engineering team, to work on a new, state of the art product.

Role: Systems Engineer

Location: Galway - easily accessed from Galway / Clare / Limerick

Contract: An initial 6 month hourly rate contract.

Your role as a Systems Engineer will be to provide systems knowledge to the company, and analyse the users needs to produce detailed requirements specifications and systems information for the creation of new products that may affect multiple systems within the company.

Responsibilities:

* Have a detailed knowledge of medical product design, and the ability to relay this to your team.

* Be responsible for examining systems behaviour issues and bring resolution for existing products.

* Clearly communicate information to the team on site and aid their understanding of the systems.

* Consistently apply systems engineering processes such as, risk management, verification and validation etc.

* Be involved in product development across cross functional teams, and to teams across the world.

* Maintain Risk management files for new devices and existing devices.

Requirements:

* Degree in software or systems engineering.

* 3 - 5 years experience within the medical device industry.

* Ability to work in a team with global collaboration.

* Have experience within design related submissions.

* Have an existing knowledge of MDR, global medical device/FDA regulations, ISO13485, and device remediation.

* Be experienced in producing requirements specifications, risk reports, and test procedures.

* Experience in working with class III medical devices.
