Job Description:

As a AWS Solution Specialist within a Global Solutions provider, you will be responsible for driving and co-owning AWS Solution Sales, business development and marketing activities - consistently taking a proactive approach to developing the technical solutions business within the region. You will help to bridge the gap between the sales and operations support teams by architecting and implementing cloud solutions.

You can expect to be scoping professional services opportunities and assist in the creation and delivery of statements of work to customers. As well as that you will be required to maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge across a deep set of foundational technologies as well as at serve as the SME within AWS.

Location

The company is based in Wimbledon. The role will generally follow a 50:50 split between working from home to working on-site in a client facing capacity.

The role is suitable for anyone across the UK so whilst the HQ is London based, please dont let geography dictate your interest.

What you will do:

* Analyse & gather business requirements from large and complex client environments and perform required research and investigation to identify and create through, accurate technical solution proposals based on client requirements.

* Develop overall solutions including high-level design, statements of work, service design and bills of material.

* Prepare cost estimates for licensing and product sales as well as professional services.

* Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long range issues that must be addressed.

What will help you in the role:

* Significant experience in sales engineering and services in public cloud

* Significant technical experience in AWS IaaS Solutions

* Significant hands on experience in on premise cloud and public cloud solutions architecture

* Ability to independently conduct meetings with engineering-level, management-level or executive-level personnel in regard to positioning sales and solutions.
