A fantastic opportunity has been created for a Site Services Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturer that holds a prominent name within the industry. In this newly created position, the Site Services Engineer will take control of all site services to support the Engineering Manager in the day to day running of the factory on a Monday - Friday day shift 8.00 am - 4.00 pm. The reason the opportunity has arisen is due to the expansion of their current operation due to contract growth. This growth will lead to future progression.As a Site Services Engineer, your daily duties will include:
Working with the engineering management team and Engineering Co-ordinator to develop and implement a sustainable maintenance best practice regime across site to maximise plant reliability, efficiency and safety.Taking responsibility for all external contractors ensuring that RAMS are checked and that contractor management systems are updated.Ensuring the site refrigeration, heating systems, compressed air systems, steam generating systems are always maintained via PPM schedules and improvement projects.Ensuring emergency lighting and fire systems are always working and correct.Working with the engineering management team to monitor relevant Key Performance Indicators for all site maintenance.In the absence of the Engineering Supervisor take leadership of the allocated shift period and continue operational duties and designated tasks.
The ideal Site Services Engineer will have the following skills and experiences:
Minimum of NVQ 3 or equivalent qualificationMust have previous experience in a similar engineering or site services role.Experience in automated food manufacturing environment.Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In return, a Site Services Engineer will receive a salary of between - £36,000 - £38,000 per annum.
