Position: Design Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £55000 - £60000 + package

This is an opportunity for a Design Manager to become a valuable member of a team within pre-construction and construction teams for a tier 1 contractor. The desired Design Manager will work as part of their North West team on amazing construction projects based in Manchester and the surrounding area.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

* Maintains Company standards and procedures

* Provide and enable the delivery of well-considered quality design solutions

* Plan design workloads

* Provide motivation for your team to work together and produce great work

* Encourage and inspire fellow designers to produce their work at the best of their ability and stamp their identity on each project

* Identify and provide solutions to eliminate health and safety risks

The Design Manager will be report to other managers within the bid and project team and together provide solutions during the work winning stage through to the project being delivered. The company are known for quality, value, and high-profile projects across the North West projects including schools, hospitals, health centres, and commercial / high-rise.

Essential Criteria for applicant:

* 3+ years' experience as a Design Manager at a major building contractor

* Good knowledge on processes

* Be able to work under pressure situations at times

* Good communication skills with the ability to listen to others and find solutions together

* Well organised with documents and time

* Knowledge of software (BIM & AutoCAD)
