Process Engineer (Semiconductors)

£35,000 - £45,000 + Private Health Care + Annual Bonus + Pension + Overtime

Do you have a Master's Degree or a PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline with a relevant background in semiconductors? Do you have an understanding of Wafer Processing? Are you looking to join a business where you can progress to become a Laboratory Manager?

This well established, world leading company are a specialist manufacturer and developer of Semiconductor LED Devices used within the defence, consumer and industrial sectors, to provide in-house design and development of Wafer Systems. Due to continued success they are looking to recruit Process Engineers to join their well-established and highly skilled team.

In this role you will be report directly to the Chief Technical Officer and work on cutting-edge Research and Development projects including: Blue, Green, Red monolithic LEDs arrays, Monochromatic microLED displays, VCSEL & RCLED, UV-A LEDs (from 365nm to 415nm) and RGB microLED displays.

You will also be processing Wafers to products, and develop new techniques and technology to improve the fabrication process. This will involve undergoing tasks such as, scheduling and complete (hands-on where necessary) maintenance activities on all tools in area, assist in creating building blocks for all deposition and etching processes, and develop new processing steps to meet product and technology roadmap requirements.

This role would ideally suit someone with a Masters or PhD in Physics, Material Science or related disciple, who has good understanding and experience in Semiconductors and Process Wafers and is looking to join a UK leading Specialist where they will become an expert in this field.

The Role:

* 60% Processing Wafers

* 40% Research and Development projects

* £35,000 - £45,000 + Private Health Care + Annual Bonus + Pension + Overtime

The Person:

* Must have at least a Masters but ideally a PhD in Physics, Electronics or Material Science

* Must have had experience with Semiconductors

* Must have had experience Processing Wafers

* Must be passionate about their career
