Job Summary

In this role the Technical Specialist will have a good understanding of current and future best practices for IT security operations and can adapt this to support the delivery of cloud based managed services as part of the Mobile App Team. This vacancy is for a 3 month contract starting ASAP.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

-Good understanding of current and future best practices for IT security operations and able to adapt this to support the delivery of cloud based managed services

-Experience with cloud technologies from AWS cloud-based infrastructure such as Lambda, Api Gateway, EC2, VPCs, Subnets, Elastic Load Balancers, Security Groupos, S3, Route 53, NAT, Kinesis,, and the many other services that AWS provides

-A good understanding of security management solutions including IDS, IPS, SIEM, Vulnrebility Scanning, Denial of Sevice and Coninued Compliance

-A strong willingness to automate, script wherever possible and be at ease with at least one high level common programming langauge

-Experience with Linux

-Awareness to ISO 27001 and other relevant industry standards including PCI

-Experience with continuous deployment

-Ability to work under pressure particularly when responding to security related incidents

-Experience working on technical projects within a team
