This company is seeking an ambitious web application developer to join their experienced team and collaborate on several exciting upcoming projects. This is a great opportunity to join an emerging company with lots of potential as they look to expand and improve their local and national profile.
You will spend time working on bespoke software for a variety of industries including finance, entertainment and business, as well as opportunities to work on exciting internal projects as the company looks to develop its portfolio. They are offering a competitive salary for this role, between 25-30k dependent on experience, as well as 30 days paid holiday and other benefits.
As a Mid-level Web Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of web applications, mobile apps and microservices. You will have a strong part to play in the technical direction of the projects you work on and be involved throughout the whole process - from requirements gathering, to prototyping, development, testing and delivery.
Working as part of an experienced team which boasts dedicated project managers and test engineers, you will be provided with a friendly and supportive working environment to help you reach your full potential and produce work which you will be proud of.
Experience
Technical knowledge:
- A strong understanding of web development practices and methodologies.
- The ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of web application frameworks.
- Competency in database design, creation and maintenance, working to their internal standards.
- A candidate benefiting from commercial experience would also be an advantage.
Business skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure environment with changing priorities.
- Good English; written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively to execute plans to completion.
The ideal candidate for will also be able to demonstrate:
- Experience working with Python 3 or PHP 7.
- Experience developing and integrating with RESTful web services.
- Experience in mobile app development (native or hybrid)
