The role of Senior Development Engineer is to provide professional engineering skills for the systemization of my clients Integrated Products.

The candidate is required to own product development projects, generating design solutions for system options as required under the Marketing Requirements Specification.

The candidate is required to undertake engineering calculations to verify new designs or update current product portfolios. The candidate must have knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, product design, Catia V5, engineering change management, creation of bills of materials

Skills required:

* Strong Product Design skills, including sheet metal manufacturing and associated fabrication processes

* Strong Systems Design understanding for electro/mechanical design requirements

* Understanding of Control systems and integration requirements

* Specification of components and sub-assemblies including associated verification and type test specifications

* Catia V5 3D CAD - preferable

* Experience of SmarTeam PDM or Enovia PLM - preferable

* Design analysis skills, FEA, FMEA, Hand calculations, Formal Design Review, HaZOP

* Any experience in electro-mechanical or exposure to any electrical or electronics would be advantageous

Essential duties & Key Responsibilities:

* Design Engineering Ability to design and develop all aspects of product range Results Orientation - focuses on delivering to project milestones and timescales

* Manage technical data through Company systems

* Manage engineering bill of materials Perform functional studies and create system specifications

* Create concept/detailed drawings according to manufacturing constraints

* Carry out classification of requirements on drawings

* Perform tolerance and DFMA analyses Support risk analysis, DFMEA & HaZOP Undertake technical reporting

* Monitoring of supplier in the scope of technical development

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £41,000 (depending on experience)
