They are currently looking for a hands-on Field Technician to join their team in London and deliver a high-quality service to clients throughout the UK.

The Role

Our client has an opportunity in London for tech savvy people to join their team. They are interested in experienced IT technicians who love to be on the road helping clients with their IT and AV rental needs. This position reports to the onsite National Technical Manager, and is based at the Acton, London office.

As a Field Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse technologies from desktops, servers, workstations, notebooks, printers, copiers as well as monitors, projectors, video walls, to wireless mics, PA systems, smart phones and VR.

Please note, this role will involve delivering and installing heavy equipment on a daily basis.  

Key Role Responsibilities

- Client Rental Orders - Completely and effectively action client orders from rental paperwork, equipment preparation, deliveries, collections, installation and networking.

- Technical Support - Providing ongoing support both in person and over the phone to clients with Maintenance / Servicing / Troubleshooting requirements.

- Asset management - Conducting in house upgrades, repairs and preventative maintenance, plus co-ordinating warranty claims.

- Warehousing - Manage equipment returns at the end of the rental period.

The position will require after-hours, on-call and weekend work from time to time for which you will be rewarded.

- Wide ranging technology skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Exceptional planning and organisational skills.

- The willingness to deliver and install heavy equipment.

- The ability to maintain a valid driver's licence and a good driving record.
