A thriving, international company is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join its team of 4 based in Norwich due to continued growth and expansion.This specialist capital machinery manufacturer who is world-leading in innovation and performance produces a variety of capital machinery for the protein and food industry all over the world. This global operation with many companies in its portfolio employs a large workforce of dynamic and loyal staff who are experts in their field.
As a Control Systems Engineer your duties will include:
Working in collaboration with Innovation, production and service staff to design, specify and implement new components and control gear and integrate 3rd party equipment (e.g. Robotics, Sheet feeders, Checkweigher, Ovens, Presses, Packing machines etc).Ensuring that the technical market leadership is established and maintained in the product ranges and support the customer orders with all technical assistance.Designing and specifying hardware solutions for main products (generally using proprietary equipment).Designing and implement control software to meet engineering and customer specifications and safety standards.Creating Integrated 3rd party hardware solutions per customer order including the required Software.Leading and creating the integration of a customer solution according to the agreed protocol.Following through all work during customer installations and find fast solutions to problems encountered. This may involve occasional travel worldwide, generally not more than two weeks at a time.Monitoring installed product performance and identifying areas for improvement of existing systems and suggesting means for further improvement and development. To be a successful Control Systems Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
Experienced Control Systems Engineer with an FMCG background who are Allen Bradley specialists. You must be prepared to travel globally 8 to 10 times per year.
In return the Systems Engineer will receive a salary of £43,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience, contributory pension matched up to 6%, relocation allowance, 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays.
