THE ROLE:

Information Security Risk Lead - Business Information Security Officer (BISO)

In this role you will be responsible for managing and reporting on Information Security for your aligned business area:

- Key Information Security representative for business stakeholders

- Liaising with stakeholders at all levels, including business leaders, CIO and CISO to ensure proper buy in for all IT Security matters

- Ensuring IT Security & Information Security risk is properly managed in new business and IT change initiatives

- Ensuring ongoing IT Security & Information Security risk and threats are properly managed

- Liaising with internal audit, and potentially persuading audit to change their views

- Creating monthly MI on IS Risk & determining root causes

- Supporting the business in tailoring IT Security controls to meet risk requirements

- Sometimes winning battles, sometimes knowing when to compromise

- There is potential for the role to be home based, giving plenty of scope for flexible working practices.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

Information Security Risk Lead - Business Information Security Officer (BISO)

This role will suit candidates best with the following characteristics and experience:

- Excellent stakeholder and diplomatic skills

- Strong Information Security background

- Very strong in IT Security risk management and governance

- Determined professional attitude

- Excellent persuasive skills

- Strategic vision, and a proven ability to implement that vision

Could be a perfect step up if you are currently a Head of Information Security or CISO at a smaller organisation, or are an Information Security Risk professional with 5+ years experience.

At least one current recognized security professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA preferred but not required.
