FIXED MOBILE CONVERGENCE (FMC) NETWORK DESIGN ENGINEER

Would you like the opportunity to be a part of a joint venture with BT? The client is leading the market in fixed mobile convergence and is looking to double in size, moving from a start up into an SME.

We are seeking Fixed Mobile Convergence Network Engineers responsible for indoor cellular planning. Conducting desk and field radio surveys, and on acceptance of design, plan and install the solution at BT OnePhone customer premises. This includes working with customer, project managers and 3rd party suppliers.

Starting salary: c£35k + 10% bonus + car allowance + more

Location: Midlands, South West, Hatfield, London

Overview: Self-motivated Radio Network Engineer with strong indoor cellular planning skills sought, having an ability to conduct desk and field radio surveys, and on acceptance of design, plan and install the solution within customer offices requiring good interpersonal skills.

Experience:

* Good understanding of telephone systems, fixed line, mobile and/or radio environment

* Successfully completed technical degree or equivalent technical training with demonstrable practical experience

* Experience of WiFi, 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G Radio planning desirable

* Expert in Indoor cell design and planning

* Couple of years' experience in planning and practical installation of cellular systems

* Experience in dealing directly with external customers

* Craftsmanship Skills (Capable of basic DIY utilised in attaching antenna, Cat5 & Coax cables runs, fixing conduit, terminating cables etc )

* Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders/customers

* Great team skills with the ability of taking ownership of work stacks

* Strong PC literate skills with good knowledge of MS Office suite

* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

* Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to multi-task, prioritizing multiple objectives and initiatives.

* Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
