-Single point of accountability for testing services in defined programmes; responsible for overseeing the delivery of testing projects with medium sized numbers of test resources - both onshore and offshore.
-Manages IT Test delivery (can include Functional, Performance, Security and other Non-Functional Testing activities), in line with defined overall testing approach (methodology), key inputs and dependencies, tooling, resource demands
-Creates project based estimates, using designated estimation tools and other test collateral, (Test Plans, test schedule, test reports etc), based on known/assumed scope and execution activities
-Influences at the start of projects, and during testing lifecycle delivery, on requirement ideas/concepts, challenging and asking specific questions, giving testing industry insight, aligns with similar type projects - all leading to aiding and improving efficient design, development and testing approaches.
-Supports the shifts left focus into design and development so that testing influences and drives the outputs and quality from these domains. This includes alignment of dependent domains (i.e. solution architects) and potentially 3rd Party Suppliers where the client acts as the primary System Integrator.
-Proficient in management of large complex and highly visible projects / programme; capable of managing project / programme turnaround situations.
-Ensures optimal resource utilization across the whole service
-Manages relationships with the clients Account and client project team, including sub-contractors.
-Oversees compliance to the clients standard testing methods, processes and tools across project team - including Testing Best Practices being applied to each individual Testing Service: this includes automation and manual testing efficiency tools
-Partners with the clients Account and Client to establish and meet quality, efficiency and productivity targets.
-Ensures application of Test Management discipline areas (Scope, Risk, Quality, Human Resource, Financial, Procurement, Communication, Schedule and Integration) to lead creation / maintenance of testing deliverables for programme planning, execution, reporting, reviewing and decision making.
-Approves project / programme control approach and testing metrics; coaches project team members.
-Reviews performance of testing team members; secures appropriate approvals; accountable for monitoring overall delivery performance against the defined project/programme measures and ensuring compliance with the standard Project / Programme Reporting and Reviewing Framework.
-First level of delivery escalation for individual Testing Services
-Ensures Continuous Improvement strategies are applied, and harvested, tofrom each individual Testing Service provided
Highly Desirable Test Management Experience areas:
-Knowledge of OAT and/or Technical Integration Testing
-Exposure and experience in Azure and/or Vmware
-General Microsoft Solution Testing Experience
-Mobile Testing (Android/IOS)
-JIRA and Microfocus ALM Test Management
