Who we’re looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software .Net Engineer to join our Customer team, where we use Agile to deliver, running multiple teams to create customer focussed digital services.

We are looking to train, mentor and develop those with some .net experience and crucially have an unquenching thirst to learn!

We place huge emphasis on quality and have high standards for design, test automation and continuous delivery.

Already you can write code that everyone in the team can understand. But you are not afraid to question your current skills, experiment or learn from new sources.

You know what you do not know and you are as comfortable asking for help as you are offering it. We advocate mutual knowledge sharing. Nobody knows everything and you aren’t expected too.

About you

We are looking who have at least 1 year’s commercial experience in C# .Net or a similar language

We are looking for inquisitive individual who knows what they don’t know but is keen and ambitious to learn.

Tasks, expectations/deliverables

Work in an agile support team, designing and crafting software solutions

› Use automated testing and deployment to build and support a continuous delivery environment

› Collaborate with others in the development community, identifying good practices we can adopt and sharing our experiences

› Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both engineers and non-engineers

› Continually develop your own skills as part of a programme of continuous professional development

› Take part in the support of applications and platforms

Civil Service Core Competencies or Key Skills or Experience - Level 2

Sift:

› Commercial experience of crafting good quality code, with over 1 years’ experience in C# .Net or similar language.

› Has a strong focus on continuous learning for oneself, others and the organisation (building capability for all)

Interview:

› A basic understanding of the core C# .Net or similar language

› Commercial experience of crafting good quality code, with over 1 years’ experience in .Net.

› Able to work collaboratively, sharing information and building supportive, responsive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. (collaborating and partnering)

› Able to communicate with clarity, conviction and enthusiasm (leading and communicating)

Has a strong focus on continuous learning for oneself, others and the organisation (building capability for all)
