Technology and Security Controls Manager

DLG is in the driving seat, and we're taking the lead. That’s why we’re currently recruiting a Technology and Security Controls Manager. Responsible for capturing, analysing and developing Technology and Security risk controls to mitigate identified Technology Risks that may impact the ability to deliver the DLG strategy.

We are currently operating in a team of 5 with a further 9 in the wider team, all working closely with Tech Services (TS) and Information Security Risk and Assurance (ISRA) stakeholders on transformation projects

You will closely with ISRA and Technology Services leadership teams and senior stakeholders across the business to ensure: Risk and control reviews are completed within the specified timelines; The lifecycle of a control is adequately managed including new controls, modification to existing controls, or retirement of existing controls.

What your day will look like:

-Undertake holistic controls risk and quality assurance activities.
-Responsible for planning, executing, completing, documenting assurance activities, including methodology adopted, work performed, and summary of findings.
-You will ensure a strong control environment is embedded across Information Security, Risk and Assurance (ISRA) and Technology Services (TS) following the three Lines of Defence risk model within the overall Direct Line Group Insurance Policy Framework.

Required skills:

-Subject Matter Expert for Technology and Information Security control to established external frameworks (e.g. NIST, Cobit, ITIL, COSO, ISO) and evolving industry trends. Act as a source of direction, training, and guidance.
-Knowledge of Financial Services Technology Risk environment, IT, Information Security environments
-Stakeholder Management - Ability to build relationships with senior management and set expectations on a regular basis
