An Applications Engineer is required to join a multinational company focusing on electronic sensor systems within the automotive industry in Frankfurt.

Essential Responsibilities

* Apply new electronic sensor technology to provide customer solutions and drive profitable sales

growth of new and existing products

* Be a technical resource to the global teams for applications, supporting technical sales

* Prove design concepts by prototype design, build and measurement

* Identify and develop technical training and sales tools for applications / products

* Remain current on new technology through benchmarking and tear-down analysis

* Leverage lessons learned and working with design engineers to develop design building blocks for applications

* Sharing ownership of sales growth by driving pipeline growth

* Support sales account plans relative to specific applications and customers

* Develop and maintain a multi-generation application plan via product roadmaps, CPO's, NPI's and NTI's

… with the intent of feeding the plan into the business strategy and budget process

* Technical contact person for the new and existing sensor products for the German customers

* Planning and managing of engineering changes

Qualifications

**Fluent German language skills are required**

* M.Sc. or B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering

* Demonstrable experience of engineering within product development / custom product engineering /

application engineering

* Experience with APQP, FMEA's, Control Plans

* Experience working within a structured new product development process (design reviews, tollgates, peer reviews, customer signoffs)

* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers, foster relationships and grow business pipeline

Desired Qualities

* Automotive experience, if possible Design for Six Sigma

* Demonstrated ability to manage project tasks on time and on budget.

* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships within global teams

* Demonstrated ability to be agile and adaptable as situations warrant
