Role Description:

The HP-UX System Admin is required for the P&H Service function in the Infra Hosting Support Team. In the interim phase HP-UX System Admin will second-line support primarily for HP-UX systems. The candidate will be responsible for Expert level of System Administration technical Support on an enterprise HP-UX environment running HP-UX 11.31 on HPE Superdome and C7000 blade. The HP-UX environment HP Virtualization including nPARs and vPars with Netapp Snapmirror failover.

The HP Infrastructure supports P&H's main applications including the Universe systems of POS, Office and Prom. The Candidate will give assistance to application support and change teams application software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and server/hardware recommendation.

Key tasks include

* Installation, configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting on HP-UX Superdome and C7000 blades, 11.31.

* Configuration and management of HP Virtualization including nPAR's and vPAR's.

* Administrating, tuning and use of disk management tools with HP's Native Logical Volume Manager disk managers and HP-UX's File system JFS(vxfs) and OnlineJFS. Example of tools: snapshots, DRD, online LUN expansion

* Configure, administrate, tune and troubleshoot OS network-related tasks including, Vlan Trunk/Tag nics/vnics, vSwitch, Link Aggregation, send mail, dns, ntp, nfs and troubleshooting server/application communications in a multi-homed server environment on a secure multi-tiered network using OS and/or 3rd party tools.

Essential Skills:

* Bachelors' degree in computer science, information systems or related field

* 10+ years of overall IT experience preferred.

* Hands on experience in HP-UX and HPE superdome 2 servers

* HPE Superdome 2 Virtualization resource management

* Preferred HPE products experience (HP C7000, Integrity Blades)

* Provide migration design reports and presentations to management
