Position: Price Analyst
Location: Chester
Salary: £27,000 per annum
The role:
The role holder will be an analytical, results-oriented leader who also has excellent customer service skills working in the Market Pricing. This team is responsible for two critical functions:
1) Pricing strategy and execution ensuring we are competitive, profitable, and maintaining customer trust in pricing across our portfolio of properties. 2) Acting as a key control on the pricing of new properties through regular report and analysis. Working closely with our commercial property recruitment team, marketing and revenue management teams to optimise pricing for all holiday durations.
Creating control reporting will be a key part of the role with weekly reports on new property pricing both holistically and individually being created with feedback to the new owner team. This will also include the monitoring of performance of new properties for the first few wks after go live. Feedback needs to be given to new pricing team on properties failing their early booking period.
Daily work on researching Property prices and data collation and interpretation on prices in detail levels such as towns and post codes include local events or up and coming events that can drive price changes as well as Short Breaks.
Core accountabilities:
Lead the annual departure wk pricing with RM support
Research new Pricing around the country including how to price change with facilities and offering
Support Market Pricing with New Tables project in conjunction with IT
Short Break research supporting the Marketing Pricing Manager
Monitor New property pricing through regularly reporting both holistic and Individual new property performance
Regular meetings with New pricing team to formalise New Property pricing sign off
Monitor individual property performance in the first 30 days of go live and feedback any pricing issues to new Owner team
Essential Experience:
Good numeracy and data interpretation skills
Understanding of factors affecting price levels
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong Commercial awareness (ideally within the holiday or travel and tourism industry)
Understanding of browser based IT systems
Strong Experience of using MS Office suite (Excel etc)
Able to work in a target driven sales environment.
