Our client is a technology company that is a market leader in the field of vehicle technology and telematics. Its sister company develops and sells a secure multimedia or digital asset management system designed specifically for managing vehicle installed and fixed or static CCTV footage. They have developed market leading software for fleet operators and global insurance companies helping them reduce risk, minimise costs and improve driver behaviour and they are now looking for a full-stack web developer to join their development team based in Manchester.

In this role, you will build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code producing fully functional software applications according to client specification whilst ensuring the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications. You will assist in identifying bugs, devise solutions to any issues, and participate in the technical support process for software issues experienced by customers. You will also design and maintain code quality in accordance with customer requirements and how they translate into application features and develop technical and user documentation to accurately represent application design. As a Developer you will be an integral part of the team and take ownership of the entire lifecycle of a sprint task from prototyping, development and testing through to deployment.

To be shortlisted for this role, you must have at least 4 years’ experience in a professional web application development / software engineering / development role. You will need good working knowledge of PHP5/PHP7, CSS, Javascript and MySQL, an understanding of LAMP stack and an awareness of the full http lifecycle from client request through to response including HTTP status codes. To be successful in the role you will need solid verbal and written communications skills, a proficient understanding of code versioning tools, be an analytical thinker and have problem solving capability. Experience in a similar industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
