This is an exciting, newly created role managing the delivery of the mission critical IT infrastructure to enable the Trust to provide outstanding patient care. You will lead provision and support of a secure, resilient, flexible infrastructure service (networks, data centres, servers & telephony) to the Trust’s staff, patients and visitors.

North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) is a centre of excellence for healthcare in the South West region in a number of fields as well as one of the largest hospital trusts in the UK with an annual turnover of around £550m and employing 9,500 and treating half-a-million patients a year.

The Role:

-Develop, own, deliver and support resilient IT infrastructure services and strategy to support the Trust’s needs allowing it to meet its organisational objectives and improve patient care.

-Work closely with colleagues across the IT leadership team to understand and improve the IT infrastructure’s underpinning delivery of key IT services across the Trust.

-Build trusted partner relationships with the key clinical and organisational stakeholders. Shape, advise and manage the demand for contemporary IT Infrastructure services.

The Candidate:

-Technically excellent, with deep infrastructure knowledge you will demonstrate proven ability in managing and developing robust, scalable IT Infrastructures services to contemporary IT industry standards.

-You will have the proven ability to understand and articulate the wider role of IT infrastructure creating a clear link between infrastructure services delivery and strategic goals.

-An inspiring and enthusing leader with proven ability to help teams develop, improve and adopt new ways of working.
