A leading investment management business is looking to recruit an Application Support Team Leader. This important position leads a team that ensures the consistent and smooth delivery of its applications for all stakeholders. You will be involved in projects, development, translating technical issues to none technical stakeholders, developing and mentoring your department alongside managing the workload and priorities. No two days will be the same and working at the hub of the organisation, you will have lots of exposure.In return, you can expect to work for an organisation with a strong public image, in fantastic offices with great benefits including a discretionary bonus of up to 20%. With the visibility across the company, the Leader will have the ability to influence change, suggest and make genuine improvements to the department and it’s offering.
As an Application Support Team Leader your duties will include:
Take responsibility for ensuring that the IT architecture is consistently available to all users.Ensuring all new users are fully trained and provide ongoing training as necessary.Mentor and manage individuals working within the department. Ownership of the Incident Management Process to reduce any impact of issues to stakeholders.Identify and eliminate the root causes of any known problems.Oversee the service request process to manage the identification, approval and implementation of all change requests.Ensure the successful timely completion and communication of all agreed daily, weekly, monthly and quarter end tasks.Consistently review the support function to identify design improvements across all areas.
To be a successful Application Support Team Leader you will have the following skills and experience:
In-depth experience of leading an Application Support function and be very comfortable working in a highly visible role across an organisation.Outstanding communication skills are essential.ITIL training.Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005 / 2008.Experience of using Transact-SQL.Experience within Financial Services is highly desirable.
In return, the Team Leader will receive a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum and benefits including a discretionary bonus of up to 20%.
