Role: Junior Project Manager
Location: London
Duration: 4 Months
Essential Job Functions
Under the management of the Hub Team Lead, we require our Project Managers to fulfil the following:
* To manage the cutover from one system to another (r11 to Service Now).
* Ensuring the system is introduced into service with the BAU Run teams.
* Ensuring that communications are complete. Ensure adherence to the DXC PM methodology.
* Prepare Project Proposals and Project Initiation documentation.
* Identify, assess, manage and communicate risks and issues pertaining to the success of the Project.
* Escalate matters of significance as appropriate.
* Prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and track activities against the Project schedule, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
* Manage the budget (cost, price, timescales), level of resources, and manage through the change control procedure where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
* Provide reports/updates to appropriate management, boards and committees.
* Provide effective leadership to the Project team and take appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
* Ensure that Projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
Basic Qualifications
Good experience working as a Project Manager, including:
* Experience in Project Planning and scheduling.
* Experience in management of Third party supplier relationships.
* Experience taking full budget responsibility.
* Good commercial acumen.
* Experience of managing teams in a Matrix environment.
* Experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
* Understanding of stakeholder Relationship and management.
* Experience of requirements gathering.
* Experience working to tight deadlines.
Other Qualifications
* Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
* Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and Clients.
* Personal computer and business solutions software skills.
* Analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
