Data Architect, Public Sector, Central London, 3+ Months

Our Central Government client based in London is looking for an experienced IT Data Architect to coordinate the design, delivery and implementation of a trading systems replacement project coupled with a data management solution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and delivery of detailed target data architecture to be used as a key input into the trading systems replacement and integration project.

Experience in treasury management or back-office systems in an investment banking environment would be useful. A good knowledge of central government project processes and procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.

Operating within a project structure, the role will involve:

* Aligning work to IT Reference Architecture

* Understanding the design of a target data architecture

* Complete the delivery of the centralised data store to support a major trading systems replacement and integration project

* Delivering Security, IT Build capability and Test Strategy

* Working full-time on-site liaising with the team

* Ensure we correctly understand and catalogue current data

The candidate will be an experienced Data Architect who is able to integrate systems and able to manage delivery to tight timescales and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders. Good communications skills and a pro-active "can-do" approach are essential for this role.

Experience

* At least 10 years Data Architect experience and System Integration knowledge

* Recent experience in an investment banking type of environment, ideally having implemented a lite central data store to assist in major systems integration.

* Taking the Technical Integration lead in Projects including delivering IT Security, Test Strategy and IT Capability building including Vendor liaison

* Implementation experience working to deliver alongside a major treasury management or back-office system

Knowledge

* Proven track record of reconciling legacy databases into a central data store

* Experience in taking IT lead in Projects for Data Architecture, Integration, IT Security,

* Experience in financial and banking sector

* Experience in data analytical skills, Test Strategy

* Experience in analysing legacy databases

* Experience in Vendor liaison

Key Skills

* Good communication skills and ability to take Technical Lead in Projects

* Good knowledge of finance and banking data

* Data analytical skills
